Monitoring network flows used to require high-end switching and routing hardware. Flow Exporter can help you monitor and optimize your network by exporting CISCO NetFlow datagrams to up to 16 flow collectors.
Software-Based Network Flow Monitoring
Using either a live interface or a previously-captured PCAP file as input*, Flow Exporter exports flows on port 2055/UDP in either Netflow v5 or v9 format.
Make sure to plug your computer into a TAP or SPAN port on your switch; alternatively, use a hub, or run Flow Exporter directly on your router. (Packets that cannot be seen by your computer will not be accounted for in the NetFlow exports).
*PCAP file input is only available on the Mac and UNIX platforms.
